University of Minnesota, School of Medicine
Dr. Marlee Novak was born and raised in Perham, Minnesota. She went to the University of North Dakota for undergrad. She married her high school sweetheart before starting medical school at the University of Minnesota. She spent her first two years in Duluth and loved everything about it, including the hiking trails. Along with her husband she enjoys paddle boarding, travelling and spending time with family. In her 4th year of medical school, Dr. Novak welcomed her first born daughter and is enjoying the fun and chaos of parenting!
Dr. Novak chose the University of Minnesota School of Medicine because of its mission to train rural family physicians. Dr. Novak is passionate about the continuity of care in Family Medicine which allows physicians to develop relationships with patients and provide comprehensive medical care to people of all ages. Dr. Novak was a member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society in medical school and hopes that speaks to how much she values personal relationships with peers and patients. She is particularly interested in behavioral health, pediatric and geriatric medicine.
