University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Black Hills State University and my M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from South Dakota State University. For six years, I worked as a mental health counselor on the palliative care team at Regional Health in Rapid City, SD. I then attended the University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine for medical school. It was during medical school that I discovered my love for rural family medicine. I plan to practice rural, full-spectrum family medicine with an emphasis on integrative medicine and palliative care. I grew up in Wall, SD, a small ranching and “touristy” community located on the wall of the Badlands National Park. I met my husband during graduate school; he is a mental health and addictions counselor. We have two teenagers and two dogs, who are all very excited to be moving out to the PNW. We love outdoor activities, and a good book.
