Personal summary: Traveling is a passion: she has had adventures in Australia, Ghana, and many places within the US. Hiking is also a joy. Leah has hiked many national parks: the Great Smoky Mountains, Glacier, Yosemite, The Sequoia Forest, and Yellowstone. She also enjoys sports and played intramural basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, and football. During her first and second years of medical school, she was honored to be in 8 weddings of dear friends, which she truly enjoyed.

She was part of American Association of Family Physicians, American College of Physicians, American Medical Student Association and Christian Medical and Dental Association. Celebration with ETSU Pediatrics where Leah worked in a booth that taught the importance of diet and exercise in children. She volunteered at Small Miracles Therapeutic Equestrian Center where she worked with disabled and mentally handicap children as well as grooming and caring for the many horses.
