I grew up in the Northwest and I have loved this region since childhood, so Coeur d’Alene was an easy decision, especially after meeting the people at Kootenai. Before choosing a residency program, family medicine was a natural choice because I love walking alongside people and helping to solve problems, plus we can gain so much perspective from the different patients we meet. I love the broad scope of family medicine but particularly have a heart for geriatrics, sports medicine and women’s health. Outside of medicine, I enjoy baking and cooking (when I don’t burn it!), walks on the river, taking my dog swimming, watching the newest cheesy super hero movie with my husband and teaching my toddler how to water the garden, blow bubbles and make animal sounds. I believe there’s always countless things to be thankful for in life, and serving the community around you as a physician makes life even richer.
