Personal Summary: Born and raised in Texas, Mitch enjoys exercising by doing CrossFit, running, and cycling. He also plays various instruments including the violin, guitar, piano, hand bells as part of the St. Stephen’s Bell Choir in Houston, and singing in the UT Houston Acapella group. Baseball was a very large part of Mitch’s life growing up, and he still enjoys watching the Houston Astros play when he is able to.
Professional Summary: After graduating from University of Texas at Austin, Mitch decided to attend medical school at McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. During his time in school, Mitch was the Presidents and Co-President for the Family Medicine Student Association. He volunteered multiple times through the Family Medicine Student Association at his medical school. These experiences included helping roof a house for Habitat 4 Humanity, packing food boxes for school children without meals on weekends at the Houston Food Bank, helping to run a helmet giveaway for local elementary children called Hard Hats for Little Heads, and assisting the on-site laboratory in the medical tent for the Chevron Houston Marathon.
