University of Washington School of Medicine – Wyoming WWAMI
I attended the University of Wyoming and obtained a bachelor’s degree in physiology. I decided to pursue medicine after working as a CNA in a nursing home in Laramie, WY. The relationships I built with the residents and the small impact I had on their daily lives was quite inspiring. During medical school, I traveled to six states for my clinical rotations (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, Idaho, and North Carolina). This provided a unique opportunity to travel and work with a variety of physicians. After residency, I plan to practice rural family medicine with an emphasis on women’s health and addiction medicine. I was born and raised in southeastern Wyoming. In true Wyoming fashion, I fell in love with a cowboy, and we got married just prior to medical school. We have two horses, Lola and Goose. In my free time, I’ve enjoyed the challenging task of learning to ride. I also love traveling, finding new restaurants, baking, and cycling. We are excited for our new adventure in Coeur d’Alene and look forward to serving the community.
