I grew up in a small town and studied Cellular & Molecular Biology at Western Washington University before attending medical school at the University of Washington. As a rural scholar in the TRUST program, I explored family medicine across small communities and found exactly the career I’d hoped for — one my own childhood physician modeled, having delivered my brother and me and cared for our whole family for years. I love the unique opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and families across generations, and I’m passionate about caring for children, obstetrics and women’s health, and partnering with patients in preventive care and chronic disease management. After residency, I plan to practice in a small town.

I chose Kootenai for its high-quality family medicine training and supportive environment full of physicians who are passionate about serving their patients — and for the chance to advance my obstetric training in a program that will equip me to thrive in rural practice. I’m thrilled to be closer to extended family across the inland Northwest. Outside of medicine, I love hiking, skiing, and camping with friends and family, reading a good book, baking, and doing puzzles.
