Pacific Northwest University of Health Science College of Osteopathic Medicine

I grew up in rural Nebraska and completed my undergraduate degree in Spanish, which led to the privilege of caring for many Spanish-speaking patients and families as a medical interpreter before medical school and throughout my clinical rotations. I was drawn to family medicine by everything that comes with full-spectrum care, and I hope to build a practice that includes pediatrics, women’s health and obstetrics, preventive medicine across the lifespan, and care for patients with limited English proficiency. Moving to the Pacific Northwest for medical school, I fell in love with training in the West and knew I wanted to continue at a program that equips its residents to care for diverse community needs — with close proximity to adventure.

I was drawn to Kootenai the moment I met the faculty and residents on my interview day: I felt this was the program that would challenge me most while guiding and supporting me toward becoming a caring, competent full-scope physician. Outside of medicine, I value time with family, friends, and my church community. I enjoy the outdoors year-round — skiing and snowshoeing in the winter; road biking, swimming, and hiking in the warmer months — along with anything creative or interior-design related, gradually expanding my small garden, and traveling to recharge. I’m so grateful for the Coeur d’Alene community and excited to explore Northern Idaho.
